We’re launching a big fundraising appeal and we’d greatly appreciate your support. We’re trying to raise substantial funds this year to support the school with various projects to enhance the experience for the students of Langley Park School for Boys.
In the past, the Friends have raised money to support the leasing of minibuses, to buy new items of ICT equipment, to have enhancement works carried out on the playing fields, as well as providing additional resources to departments. With school budgets shrinking our fundraising activities become ever more valuable to the school.
The appeal is focused on the magnificent Performance Hall, at the heart of the school, where pupils and visitors regularly enjoy spectacular concerts, productions, films, assemblies, presentations and professional-quality music. Pleasingly, many pupils (and their parents) frequently cite these memorable and fun occasions amongst the highlights of their school days.
We are inviting you, as someone associated with LPSB (or formerly the Beckenham & Penge County Grammar), to kindly sponsor a seat to celebrate your time with the school and, at the same time, help secure the future success of the establishment and its students.
- Donations will be recognised with a plaque - engraved with your personal details, carefully affixed to the rear of a seat. As a thank you, you will receive a certificate as well as the prestige of a named seat.
- The plaque will remain in place for the lifetime of the seat, usually 10 years, plus your name will be listed permanently on a commemorative board in the hall. You will receive first option to renew the sponsorship when it expires.
- There are only 500 seats; which will therefore be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you wish to specify a particular seat please view the seating plan and advise us using the attached form.
- Plaques will be installed in batches to make administering the scheme cost-effective.
NOTE: sponsoring a seat does not afford priority booking of your named seat for school shows/performances. You can try and secure it by booking early for any future events.
A minimum donation of £50 is suggested, with no upper limit. All donations will be most gratefully received and, of course, you can simply make a donation without sponsoring a seat should you prefer. Donations can be made by cheque or bank transfer. Please see the attached documents for a sponsorship form and a seating plan of the performance hall.
