The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE)
The Duke of Edinburgh’s award is a national charity that gives young people aged 13-24 the chance to develop skills for life and work, fulfil their potential and have a brighter future.
The award is a personalised program of activities in four sections – Volunteering, Physical fitness, Skills and Expedition with a further section at Gold as a Residential. The award encourages young people to help the community, get fitter, develop skills and independently plan and prepare for a challenging expedition.
Participants will be challenged to try new things and to discover talents they may not have known they have. As well as being lots of fun, achieving the award will give students the skills, confidence and a view on life that, Colleges, Universities and Employers are looking for.
D of E enrolment is held in September and October, so please look out for further details around this time.
