Actual Salary: NJC Scale 2 Points 3 to 4 £12,264.75 - £12,439.90 (FTE £27,729 - £28,125)

Langley Park School for Boys is an exceptional school that ensures excellent academic outcomes for our students. We are a large, inclusive, over-subscribed, 11-18 school with a co-educational Sixth Form. We are part of Impact Multi Academy Trust, and we work closely within the Trust with our other three secondary schools and our three primary schools.

*This position is for a fixed term period up until 31st August 2026. Hours are part-time and are annualised to average 23 per week. The salary is inclusive of unsocial hours involving evening and weekend working.

We are seeking to recruit a Theatre Technician to deliver a wide range of concerts, drama performances, presentations and other events at our fantastic venue, based at Langley Park School for Boys. The 500-seater venue has state of the art acoustics, lighting, digital projection and sound facilities and we are looking for somebody with the appropriate skills and experience to ensure that we can continue to put on performances of the highest quality.

Our busy programme includes dance shows, dance competitions, musicals, orchestras, cinema, choirs and amateur productions.

The successful candidate will have experience of theatre lighting (ETC Ion), as well as a broad knowledge of sound, staging and general stage management. Working hours will vary around an average of 13 hrs / week, although the majority of the work is likely to be evenings and weekends throughout the year. The weekly schedule will be agreed with the Theatre Manager. The job will also involve some physical lifting and working at heights.
